Apponyi Home is a boutique London-based multidisciplinary design consultancy. We connect clients and industry experts globally, offering a responsive, personable and design-led service for sustainable living. We advocate the importance of biophilic design and collaborate with ethical and where possible environmentally conscious suppliers and organizations.
Referencing art, culture and nature and led by a modernist sensibility, Apponyi Home curate restorative spaces with hand sourced artworks, contemporary designs and antiques bringing a unique identity to every project. We draw on a love of texture, focus on natural materials and layered colour with the utmost appreciation of light, space, and proportion for a decidedly current feel.
We are a small team with an international outreach. Combined experience across the arts, furniture design and property industries has enabled us to effectively deliver projects and collaborate with a range of trusted professionals from cabinet makers, to property investors, ensuring each client, a bespoke service.
We have calculated our CO2e emissions for the year and have chosen to offset more than this by supporting projects through Carbon Footprint Ltd.
Prior to establishing Apponyi Home, Alice worked as a stylist in LA, dressing a celebrity clientele, interior styling, and staging homes. She also worked in the art and wardrobe department for several TV shows, some of which she co-produced. She went on to design a handbag and home accessory line, which sold in luxury retailers. After gaining large firm experience at Burberry and then at an Italian furniture brand Promemoria, Alice developed key art market knowledge at an established Art Deco gallery. In 2012 Alice moved to Milan to focus on interior and furniture design where subsequently she was commissioned on her first FF&E project in Beirut. Alice’s appreciation of materials, rich colour and inspiration gleaned from her love of travel and passion for nature are apparent in her work.
Alice holds a Master of Science with Distinction in Real Estate Development from The University of Westminster, a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Fashion from ual: Central Saint Martins and a Foundation Diploma in Fine Art and Design from ual: Central Saint Martins. Alice is a BIID Registered Interior Designer®.
